At 8am, your tour guide will pick you up from the hotel lobby of centrally located Beijing hotels, please take your passport with you today.
Then you will take a private vehicle to Tian'anmen Square firstly.You will view the biggest city square before moving to the Forbidden City which used to be the palace for Ming and Qing Dynasty from 1420--1911AD.
There are various relics and old houses exhibiting in the palace. Your guide will explain to you the hidden stories about those emperors and the palace.
Then you will have lunch at a local restaurant before you are transferred to Summer Palace. It is for the royal family to escape the heat in the summer in Qing Dynasty. The Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill in the Summer Palace constructed a impressive scenery.
Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel where the trip concludes.

I learned so much about the history of Beijing. I had so many questions and our guide answered them concisely and in brilliant English. We saw so much in a really short amount of time but never felt rushed at all. My kids were so interested the whole way round (13 and 9) and the guide made it fun for them to learn as well. Very enjoyable and educational day. Highly recommended.

The history of the Forbidden City was great. It is a huge beautiful palace to see and a nice place for photographs. You need at least a day to enjoy the beauty, I could spend all of my holidays here!

While we were in China we wanted to grasp some understanding of the city’s history. We have taken private tours in other places as they allow you to enjoy a more personable experience. This one in Beijing was definitely the best one! It was not only because of the city but also because of our guide. She was not only our guide but our history teacher and our companion. She also recommended the best restaurants and places to visit during our stay. A very good company who know how to look after you.
