Overview

There are many other famous tourist attractions in Xi'an apart from the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum and this trip gives you the opportunity to see more of what Xi'an has to offer. 

Your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby at 9:00 am to start the classic one day Xian city tour. You will visit the Shaanxi History Museum, which is the first modern national museum.

It was built in 1983 and opened to the public in 1991. Now 370,000 exhibits in the museum vividly show the history of over a million years from prehistoric times (1,150,000 years ago - 21st Century BC) to about 1840 AD.

Then visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda which is over a thousand years old and was built in the Tang Dynasty to store the Buddhist Scripture and statues brought by Monk Xuan Zang from India.

Then we will move on to the city centre and visit the City Wall, which was initially built as a military defence system over 600 years ago and now it is a popular travel destination. Ascending the City Wall, you can appreciate the magnificent ancient constructions, admire the surrounding urban landscape and watch the locals doing exercises or entertaining themselves at its foot.

The Square of Bell & Drum Tower is the center and landmark of Xian, then you will find lots of mouthwatering local snacks and interesting souvenirs in Muslim Quarter.

Afterwards, the tour guide will transfer you back and drop you off at the hotel to conclude the amazing city sightseeing.

The most amazing trip I ever had, my holiday of a lifetime, it was much more than we expected and that was thanks to our guide Zu, who went beyond his time and made it the most memorable part of our holiday to China. I can't wait to visit again

We arrived at the airport much earlier than we thought our flight times changed I notified privatetour the previous night, and the girl was on it she told the tour guide, and he came early (I was shocked) we had a fantastic day, and it was not shortened because we were early. We had some time to meet the farmer that found the warriors and our guide was top notch. We were lucky because some other tourists on our flight had to wait and shorted their time sightseeing. I have to say, Bruce, G and our guide Vicky went above and beyond for us. Thank you! I highly recommend everyone...the personal touch really helps

Wow! what a fantastic day, private all the way for me in the future it was well worth the extra money we spent getting around Xien. We had a ball with our guide he loves the Irish and even took us to some places off the beaten track in the city. Great tour, fab lunch good bargains at the shops defo do this tour is amazeballs. I even did a little Irish Dancing for the locals after lunch it was hilarious they loved it - I am totally going back again someday.

Great tour, value for money, a superior guide will use privatetour again for any other tours I go on they are professional and the service as outstanding. My family and I had a wonderful time thank you only delay was the pick-up time.

I researched a lot for our tours in China and booked with a few different tour guides but this Xian tour was the best one. The extra money was worth it to have our private driver and guide we really liked the lunch and chatting with the locals about the city. We did do a little shopping and did not get ripped off as our guide Wu was with us for the whole day.

When the tour started, I thought that the fact they were on time for the pick up was going to be the highlight as the guide was not great. It turned out she was actually ill, and within the hour when we were at the warriors, we had a new guide. The tour company were great and to be honest; the first guide was so apologetic that I felt really bad for her. The day turned out great in the end, and our new guide said he would share the tip with our first guide. When we got back to our hotel room one of the girls from privatetour.com called to apologise, and the guide sent us candy to our hotel room also. I couldn't believe it thank you for everything and especially for the kind gesture. 5* all the way!!!

We visited Xian and booked this tour our guide was terrific. He was very knowledgeable of the history of Terracotta Warriors and Xian. We had a great day after we visited the Terracotta Warriors, we had a traditional lunch which was surprisingly lovely. We were in a local restaurant and had some Xian noodles fantastic and very affordable. I would recommend privatetour if you are visiting this historic city. Thank you for the great memories.

Our time in the city was short but our tour guide helped with us to make the day special. We were a group of 4, and from pickup to drop off it was very well. The warriors were excellent looking down the pits and being close up with our private guide was worth the extra money. The lunch for us was unusual but an experience, thank you

The guide was excellent for us. My wife needs aid when walking, and this tour turned out to be perfect for us. They picked us up from our Xian hotel, and we started at the Terracotta Warriors and worked from there everyone was so helpful to us and put my wife at ease from the start. Thank you for a great tour I especially loved our guide he was so respectful and the day was smashing. The Pagoda is out of this world..
