Overview

Visit the Museum Park, the Limpiopungo Lagoon and through an interesting hike will reach the forest of chuquirahuas to 4200 meters. (if the weather permits).

We reach the Quilotoa Volcano, which has in its crater a stunning turquoise lagoon, making it one of the most beautiful and photographed landscapes of Ecuador.

We take a short hike to appreciate the magnificent view of the volcano (if weather conditions allow).

Free time for lunch (not included).

Return to Quito in the afternoon

Our guide Mauro was excellent, he was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the environment and hiking and made sure everyone was doing ok at altitude. We had a superb day visiting Cotopaxi, the lunch stop after was great and the whole day was a great success.

We had a fantastic time it was a fun and informative tour! We really enjoyed discovering Cotopaxi and learned so much about the country. Highly recommend! P.S. Erika was very kind to provide hiking tips to my friends who had not been exposed to high altitudes before.

I was apprehensive about booking a tour especially through a company that I know nothing about. I found this tour through an internet search. I was really impressed and our guide made our experience fun as well as educational. Erica was a fantastic guide! I wouldn’t have made it to the top without her. This is definitely a challenging trek but the experience is great even if you don’t make it to the top.
