After the guided tour, you’ll be free to visit the monument you most prefer. For example, you can climb the 463 steps and reach the top of Brunelleschi's architectural masterpiece.
You will discover the interior of the Dome on your own. Climbing up the dome, you will enjoy the extraordinary view of Florence. From the top, you will see the entire Florence skyline.

The cathedral's octagonal dome was erected between 1418 and 1434, it is based on a design by Filippo Brunelleschi. At that time people thought it would be hard to finish that project, so in 1418 Brunelleschi started a competition to convince others that his project would be valid. The project was accepted only in 1420. Now it is still here, it is a masterpiece capable of withstanding lightning, earthquakes, and the passage of time. It continues to enchant all those who observe it. The dome has a diameter of 45.5 meters.
