Overnight in Sarova Shaba Game Lodge, or similar, deep in the arid northern part of Kenya, situated across the Great North Road, is Shaba National Reserve which forms part of a trio of reserves quite different from the ones found in Kenya. Shaba takes its name from Mount Shaba (1525 metres), a volcanic mountain that became extinct around 5,000 years ago and lies on the border of the reserve.

Enjoy breakfast then our guide driver will warmly meet then drive you to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy – a 90,000-acre private wildlife conservancy – is situated on the equator, in Kenya's Laikipia District, between the foothills of the Aberdare and the magnificent snow-capped Mount Kenya.

You will be arriving for lunch then an afternoon game viewing drive.

The Ol Pejeta Conservancy boasts an astounding variety of animals, including the Big Five (the endangered black and white rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion), Grevy’s zebra, Jackson’s hartebeest, cheetah and chimpanzee which is one of the highlight experiences here.

Sweetwaters Serena Camp is located in a private conservancy with a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any of Kenya's national parks making Sweetwaters Serena Camp one of the best-tented safari camps in Kenya. A sheltered oasis, clustered around a water hole and set in the pristine calm of the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Sweetwaters Serena Camp offers a charming blend of under-canvas ambience and Kenyan safari luxury. The scenic 188km2 Lake Nakuru game park is home to the black and white rhino, prides lions, cape buffalos, waterbucks, reticulated giraffes, hartebeests among many others. When the water levels in the lake are low, the alkaline lake is famous for the thousands of greater and lesser flamingoes. The park has the largest euphorbia forest in Africa.
