Madagascar Yacht Charter Safari 7 Nights
It is the ‘island factor’ that makes this 7 Day Madagascar Yacht Charter Safari so fascinating. In fact, it has been an island for 160 million years. The yacht charter allows you to experience the diverse ecologies of Madagascar with the vast majority of its plants and animals existing nowhere else on earth. Its forests are filled with weird and wonderful creatures, such as 50 species of lemurs, a collage of different chameleons and a vast array of tropical birds!
Cruise to Ankazaberavina Island which is a marine protected area. Fabulous snorkelling in crystal clear blue waters. A resident pair of Malagasy fish eagles are often spotted. After lunch, we sail to Russian Bay about two and a half miles away and overnight in the idyllic calm bay. Spend the afternoon on the beach or explore the ruins of the old Russian fort dating back to 1906. Sunset on the boat.
Visit Nosy Iranja. The trip is approximately 15 Nautical miles and will take about three hours. Iranja is a perfect tropical island with white sandy beaches and turquoise water. Lunch is served on board and then with the afternoon wind, we sail to our next anchorage – Baramahamay River. If we’re in time we can launch the dinghy for a sunset cruise up one of the mangrove estuaries.
