Birdwatching at Alvor dunes
Overview
We will use the boardwalk at Alvor dunes to explore this fragile habitat.
Severel bird species, such as the Kentish Plover, can be found breeding there in spring and the mudflats near Alvor are used by many waders and gulls to feed and rest.
Chances of seeing Bluethroats are good in winter during high tide.
In summer, it is possible to finish the tour with a swim or an ice-cream.
