6 Day "Big 5" Safari
On this tour, you will be able to see the big 5 (elephant, buffalo, rhino, lion and leopard). The phrase “Big Five” refers to the five most difficult animals in Africa to hunt on foot.
Doesn’t have to do with size as some people think which is why the leopard is on the list and the enormous hippopotamus is not.
However, it will be your chance to experience other animals and how the Maasai people live/interact together with animals in Ngorongoro crater.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), after immigration formalities, you will be met with your Tour Guide/Representative from Born Park Adventures and drive to Arusha.
After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game drives with picnic lunches, this is one of Tanzania’s smaller parks but still offers a rewarding and diverse safari experience.
The lakeshore at Manyara teems with birdlife, and while you are looking for the birds, you might spot one of the elusive tree-climbing lions. There are a surprising number of other large mammals and the striking cliffs on the Rift escarpment form a dramatic backdrop.
After breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park for game drives with picnic lunches. Serengeti National Park is the most famous of Tanzania's National Parks with endless plain.
It is most well-known for the annual migration which takes place across the great savannah plains annually in their natural route and places since the time of immemorial. In game drives you will be able to see leopards, lions, cheetah, and many others. Followed by lunch and continue with afternoon/evening game drives.
The Serengeti boasts one of the most varied collections of wildlife on the planet. Annually, from May to December, millions of animals embark on a migration which brings them from central Serengeti to Kenya’s Maasai Mara and back again in an incredible spectacle.
Even during the ‘down-time’, vast herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle roam here, along with groups of elephant, giraffe, and buffalo, as the lions, leopard, cheetah, hyenas and jackals stalk their meals.
After breakfast with your picnic lunch, we will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the place where you will see wildlife grazing together with livestock, via Oldupai Gorge which contains some of the earliest signs of mankind ever discovered. This ‘Cradle of Mankind’ has yielded abundant fossil material dating back at least two million years.
It was here (1959) that Mary and Louis Leakey discovered the remains of Nutcracker Man. Nearby, in Laitoli, (1979) Mary Leakey discovered the footprints of hominids which are estimated to be over three million years old. The excavation sites have been preserved for public viewing. And archeologists still continue to explore the gorge every year for more exposition.
After early breakfast drive to Arusha town for hot lunch. Later transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight back home. Bon Voyage and Karibu Tena!!
- Please include flight times/pick up details when making your booking.
