7 Days Murchison Falls, Semliki & Kibale Forest
Day 1: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park beginning from Kampala using the Bombo road; a drive that will take approximately 5 hours. Along the way you will see the well-known Luwero triangle, which currently has developed into a small town having a trading center famous for its painful history of the Baganda mass murder. Drive on and stopover for lunch at Masindi Hotel. You will drive through Budongo forest as well as Kaniyo Pabidi. On arrival in the park, proceed to the Top of the waterfalls; it is a very breathtaking site for unwinding and adventure. Accommodation: Paraa Safari Lodge.
Day 2: Set out on an early morning game drive through the park to look for elephants, Uganda kobs, giraffes, lions, water bucks, hippos and buffaloes, plus a diversity of bird species. Return to the lodge for breakfast as well as wait for lunch while taking nature walks around the park and later enjoy a boat cruise in the afternoon to the bottom of the falls to see a diversity of wildlife on the riverbanks drinking water. You will see various antelope species, crocodiles, water bucks, hippos, elephants plus buffaloes among many others on the shore, in addition to a diversity of water bird species that make this a renowned birding paradise. The waterfalls display a natural beauty unmatched to no other place in the whole world. The 7-meter gorge together with a 43m drop of these falls results into a thunderous roar and a gorgeous rainbow in a cloud of water spray which leaves several tourists yearning. Day 3: After breakfast leave for chimpanzee trekking within Budongo forest which takes approximately 3 to 5 hours. Budongo forest is as well known for its special Mahogany tree species which are very tall. In addition, there are numerous primates including the forest galago, red-tailed monkeys, potto as well as blue monkey, in addition to several bird species like the yellow-footed eye catcher and the white-thighed hornbill. Accommodation: Paraa Safari Lodge.
Day 4: Semliki National Park Drive to Semliki and head to Bundibugyo. enjoy this spectacular drive with views of Lake Albert and the legendary Mountain Rwenzori ranges. This park is situated in Bundibugyo district along the western border of Uganda with the Democratic Republic of Congo near Lake Albert. The park has a great location within western Albertine Rift valley region and occupies the eastern section of Ituri forest connecting Uganda with Congo River separated by river Semliki. Semliki is a site for ornithologists with approximately 400 species of bird mainly forest birds. approximately 300 species of trees have been recorded here and more than 52 mammal species including 11 diurnal species. In the night you will have a spot-lit game drive. the night, only one of this nature in the whole of Uganda and see the thin white-tailed mongoose, very small nightjars plus several cats. Day 5: Visit the highlight in Semliki, referred to as the Sempaya hot springs. These natural springs have a geyser shooting high from an 8-meter-wide hole at a very high temperature. Of its kind, this is the largest in the whole of Uganda. On this very trail, you may identify a couple of bird types such as the blue breasted kingfisher plus Frasier’s ant-thrush in addition to primates such as the grey checked mangabey plus the red-tailed monkey. Proceed to Mungilo waterfall to see some other fascinating birds, particularly ideal for birders. In the Late afternoon after lunch, take a boat ride on Lake Albert, a wonderful lake. See the various water animals and later head back to Semliki Safari Lodge where you will spend the night. Accommodation: Semliki Safari Lodge
Day 6: Head to Kibale another favorite tourist destination. Enjoy the beautiful drive southwest through Fort Portal where you will have a lunch break. See the Toro Kingdom palace, the eating places, Royal tombs, the mosque and several shops however drive on to Kibale, only a couple of kilometers ahead. This national park has the biggest number of primates in the whole of East Africa such as chimpanzees, black & white Colobus monkeys, the blue monkeys plus baboons. After lunch, take a guided nature walk in the Bigodi swamp sanctuary, a place ideal for birders. The Papyrus Gonolek plus the Blue Turaco can easily be seen among other 137 bird types. In addition, there is a great array of colorful butterflies. It highlights an assortment of plants and animals in the forest. Accommodation: Kibale Forest camp
Day 7: Following breakfast, wake up early to track chimps near Kanyanchu. This can take you half a day. There are primates in the area like the golden monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, baboons, white and black Colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabeys, red Colobus, blue monkeys and pottos. Other animals involve forest elephants unique from the common type, giant forest hogs and a striking tree species. Later, return to Kampala with lunch along the way and this will end our safari.

Our clients should also note that the first day of the trip is simply for the drive or flight to the destination as shown on the itinerary and has a few activities planned. We advise that you be conversant with our representative who will take you through the pre-departure briefings. NOTE: Entebbe international airport is your gateway to and from Uganda. - ITINERARY, TRAVEL INSURANCE AND PASSPORT COPIES: Leave a copy of your itinerary, travel insurance and passport to a family member, for reference purposes, in case of an emergency. Travel insurance is also compulsory on all trips.
- PAYMENTS: A deposit of 10% is required to confirm the tour. The remaining balance will be due and charged 45 days before departure. Prices however may be subjected to changes until a full payment is received.
- VISA AND CONSULAR ADVICE: Each individual traveller is responsible for obtaining the required visa, as visa requirements vary per country. For visa information, we advise our clients to consult the US State Department and local Embassies for non-US citizens. NOTE: 1. A visa can be obtained at Entebbe international airport on arrival at a fee $50 per person. 2. Visas for all other East African Countries can be obtained, on arrival, at the international airport or at boarder points.
- CASH AT HAND: It is crucial to note that in many countries, some local Forex bureaus place much emphasis on quality of the dollar and other foreign currency notes frequently used by most visitors. It is our humble view therefore that you carry new and undamaged bills / notes especially in the dominations of $50 and $100 bills. Major credit cards like Visa and Master card are acceptable in towns.
- GENERAL SAFETY TIPS: We prioritize safety of our tours; however, travels are susceptible to risks. So, it is important to be prepared and approach all arrangements with utmost caution. It’s advisable to do some research about your destination to equip yourself with some tips to ensure safety. Register your trip and also avail a copy of your emergency contact details to your government travel advisory service (or diplomatic mission) in a country that you are visiting so that they can contact you in case of emergency. This process can be done online and it is also advisable to get contacts of the American Embassy in Uganda, your final destination. Depending on the itinerary you have booked, some activities may carry greater risks or personal injury, we therefore advise that you take great care and strictly adhere to the established pre-cautions before participating. These activities include white water rafting, canoe and boat rides, Gorilla trekking and Chimpanzee tracking, mountaineering, bungee jumping, culture walk or community visit and game drive. - CANCELLATION AND REFUND: Customers will receive a full refund, minus the cost of gorilla permits of $600 which is a policy from the regulator the government of Uganda, it is non-refundable. However, for other tour itineraries provided the cancellation is done with in 24hours from the time of the tour, it shall be received and rescheduling planned accordingly. - ACCOMMODATION: Prices for a twin/double shared room are per person, and, rates for single or triple travelers are available on request.

- AGE LIMIT: Some of our tours have strict age limit. Children 13 years and below are not allowed to visit the gorillas or participate in certain activities like canoeing and, for adults above 65 years of age, a medical report may be required.
- FORCE MAJEURE: It is with regret that our office cannot compensate where an impediment to proper performance of duty is as a result of an event above and beyond our own making, control and anticipation nor is it due to the supplier of the service in question. Such events may include unexpected government quarantines, travel bans, riots, civil strife, natural disaster, terrorist acts, border closure, fire, road closures, industrial disputes, extreme weather conditions and other incidents beyond our control. NOTE: In some unfortunate circumstances, getting a park or Gorilla permit may not be guarantee to seeing wildlife in their habitats as unfavourable local conditions may sometimes hinder access to the wildlife. This can happen without prior notice or it can be at short notice. We therefore accept no liabilities in circumstances where Gorilla or wildlife viewing is due to cancellation by the authorities. Where the loss is due to the absence of Gorillas, closure of boarders, national park or security changes, refunding is at the discretion of the responsible offices. However, we shall use all means necessary to obtain the monies / refunds and pass it on to the client.
