Situated 40 km away from Ho Chi Minh City, the Cu Chi tunnels consist of a vast and ingenious network of underground tunnels connecting living and cooking areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers but also hundreds of trap doors, that played a strategic role in the resistance of the Viet Cong soldiers during the war, helping them to control a large rural area around Ho Chi Minh City.
A 1-hour drive will take you to the famous Cu Chi tunnels where you will spend the next couple of hours exploring the area and learning more about the history and the incredible tenacity and ingenuity of its inhabitants. The more adventurous will have the opportunity to crawl through the tunnels and to fire off some rounds from AK47 or M16 assault rifles at the shooting range.

Our guide did a superb job of directing and informing our tour and I was impressed with her knowledge. She was a delight to be around and made the story of the tunnels come alive. Ending with the trip to the handicapped factory showed great social concern and responsibility. I was also impressed with the driver his courtesy and driving skills. I appreciated being made aware of the program.

Picked up in private minibus at cruise port in Saigon and driven to tunnels with an unscheduled walk around Saigon with the guide afterwards. Best time is early morning before the crowds arrive.

I want to start with a simple sentence to describe this tour: The best tour I participated in during my three months in Vietnam. Cu Chi tunnels are a MUST for visitors in HCM area.
But the very best thing was absolutely the punctuality, the tour was always perfectly scheduled and our tour guide made us feel like a family, his world-class English (Very rare in Vietnam) and his deep preparation in the history of American War created a very positive atmosphere.
The activities in Cu Chi are amazing, spacing from history to shooting to fell like a "real" Vietcong proceeding in the tunnels.

We did a half day tour of Cu Chi tunnels. Our tour guide was excellent. She had all the knowledge and info. She answered all our questions and queries very well. She also gave us info on the city evening life . Will definitely recommend this tour.

Booked beforehand on the basis of excellent reviews on TA. The company called our hotel to confirm the evening before: we didn’t have to do anything. Very professional!
Our guide, arrived at the hotel as arranged; our group of 4 had a vehicle to ourselves. Our driver was excellent. The Cu Chi Tunnels is an amazing attraction, well organised and informative. The guides are very attentive to visitor needs and capabilities when it comes to entering the tunnels. Overall, our tour was fascinating and professionally conducted.

A Morning Tour for a group of 11 extending over 3 generations of family 8 - 70years.
the service of privatetour.com was fantastic. Our tour leader, his English was excellent as with his knowledge and the ability to engage with all ages and to share his knowledge. The bus was air-conditioned, clean, tidy & drinks were supplied. Hotel Pick up was prompt (in fact early) and we were returned on time. Would highly recommend !!!

Our guide was fantastic with the kids, answering their many questions. Pick up was on time from the hotel. The drive there was not too long and although it was busy at the tunnels, Our guide did well to ensure we got to see everything. The tunnels were an experience for the kids, they will definitely remember it.

An amazing day at the Cu Chi Tunnels. Our tour guide was fantastic & very knowledgeable about the tunnels & the history. Our son wanted to go down to the bottom level of the tunnels & our guide was very kind & took him all the way, our son was stoked to have been able to do this. I would highly recommend this private tour to anyone.
