Overview

Meet you tour guide at 8:30 am from your downtown hotel lobby, aboard the air-conditioned vehicle to start the trip. It takes around 1 hour driving to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, learn the history and culture of China’s first empire Qin Dynasty from your guide.

On this tour of Qin Dynasty discovery and clay warrior making Experience, you will firstly visit the UNESCO listed world cultural heritage of Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, marvel at approximately 7,000 life-size Qin Dynasty terracotta soldiers, horses, chariots, and weaponry in battle formations.

Your guide will accompany you to visit all 3 pits and the exhibition hall of Bronze Chariots and Horses, which takes around 3 hours. Then walk around Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum Site Park to discover the life story and great achievement of this China’s first emperor. Lunch will be arranged in a nice restaurant for you to enjoy delicious local cuisine.

Then move to a Terracotta replication workshop, here you will get more knowledge of how to make a clay warrior, you will be taught to make a miniature clay warrior by yourself. There are many exquisite terracotta figures with different size here, you can purchase your preferred one. Later drive back to Xian downtown and stroll around the famous Muslim Quarter which is the hub of the Muslim community in Xian City, here you will find many Muslim snacks and souvenir stores. Afterwards, your guide will transfer you back to the hotel to conclude the day trip.

We loved every part of our holiday to China, however; Xian and this tour was the highlight for us. My boyfriend and I had planned this trip for a long time and we will never forget it.

We were so shocked by the size of the museum. It was really well looked after and we had loads of time to go round and admire it - a lot of it is still being pieced together which was really interesting. Having a guide makes a huge difference in a place like this. We got a lot of information about the history of the discoveries and due to the size of the museum you need help navigating through all the different areas. Highly recommend this tour - highly educational

The trip to the Terracotta Army surpassed our expectations and was definitely one off the bucket list. I also loved exploring Muslim Street and tasting some of the local street food. A great tour and guide.

The museum was so much larger than I had expected. Our guide was fantastic in showing us all the highlights and we learned so much. We really enjoyed making our own Terracotta Warriors - ours were definitely not made as skillfully but it made us appreciate the artistry that went into the real ones! Fantastic day all round

A most amazing trip. It was much more than we imagined and that was thanks to our guide. I was useless at trying to make my own clay warrior, but my husband really impressed me with his. The whole day was fantastic and we both highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Xian.
