Travel From Delhi Taj Mahal and Agra fort Private Tour by India’s fastest train. We’ll pick you up from your hotel and take you Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station to board the super fast AC train to Agra (Gatimaan Express).

The train Gatimaan Express departs Hazrat Nizamuddin Station, Delhi. You’ll enjoy Tea & Breakfast onboard, as well as browse away on the train’s high-speed wifi. 
 
Once you arrive in Agra, an English speaking guide will meet you on the platform. You’ll then be driven to tour the magnificent Taj Mahal. You’ll have the chance to take a Tuk Tuk or Battery bus to explore the area.

10:00 Tour the Taj Mahal

Visit the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. According to legend, Emperor Shahjahan was so grief-stricken at the death of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, that he decided to erect a memorial to her which would be unsurpassed in beauty and grandeur. With a huge labor force of 20,000 people, it took 22 long years to complete this masterpiece.

12:00 Visit Agra Fort

Visit Agra Fort, a vast museum of interesting buildings on the UNESCO World Heritage site. Each successive Mughal Emperor right up to Aurangzeb contributed to the growth of the fort. Construction of the Agra Fort started in 1565 and was completed in 1573.

Transfer to Restaurant for lunch.

14:30 Visit Baby Taj

You will continue to the Baby taj Tomb, a Mughal mausoleum. The Baby Taj was the title given to Mirza Ghiyath Beg, father of Nur Jahan. He held the post of Lord of Treasure of the Empire and later rose to the dignity of Wazir under Jahangir. Nur Jahan completed the construction of the building of the Tomb of her father in 1628 AD, nearly 7 years after his death.

15:30 Explore the Bazaar

After Lunch, explore the Bazaar of Agra full of a rich heritage of handicrafts or explore freely at your own leisure. One can buy the most famous marble handicrafts / authentic Indian sweets or after a day-long hectic tour, enjoy a relaxing body massage. (Your own personal expense)

17:00 Transfer to the Railway Station

Transfer to Railway Station to board your high speed train to back to Delhi.

My guide did an excellent job explaining the history and characteristics of each site, showed us special features of the architecture that brought to life the historical story behind the Taj Mahal and its relevance in modern culture. I rate the overall experience 5+. From the hotel pick up, to being seated by my driver on the passenger train, the pick up at the station in Agra, and of course, the guided tour. I would highly recommend Faraz Tour and will use them again.

Fantastic day. Pick up was on time and helpful to get settled on train. Train was good and tickets all sorted easily. Excellent day: loved seeing everything, driver was spot on and tour guide was excellent. Very knowledgable and even better food at getting the best spots for viewing and kindly took my photos for me. I booked only a few days before so i am super impressed everything so organised and sorted!
